*I know you all are interested in knowing how we did on the Christmas Tree Lot this year. Thanks to our Tree Lot volunteers we made a profit of $22,734.66! WOW!
*Rising Hope is asking for donation of any extra brown paper bags that you might have at home. If you would drop them off at the church, put them in the Rising Hope box on the front porch of Ed Bldg.
*Change to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Schedule:
Because of the rise of COVID cases, under the advisement of the Bishops office, we are suspending all in person services for the rest of the year, including Christmas Eve. But we have a terrific plan that we are excited about on Christmas Eve and we hope you will join us!! It will mean not gathering at Washington Farm but we will gather on Zoom for a traditional lessons and carols service. Zoom will allow us to see one another’s faces, to exchange Christmas greetings and to feel the warmth of the Christmas Spirit.
Here’s what is happening and how you can be a part!
We need people who know zoom. If you know zoom well enough to set it up for someone else or walk someone through it over the phone AND are free Sunday at 4:00, send your name to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking for helpers!
This Sunday, December 20th, we are going to try out zoom. Our music department is going to lead us in singing our favorite carols of the season! So whether you are a zoom expert, novice or never used zoom before, you will not want to miss this!! At 4:00, Kevin, Beth and Bev with a couple of guest appearances will be taking your requests.
If you have never used Zoom before or are uncomfortable with using Zoom, we will have people on stand by ready to help. Call the church if you are having problems and we will connect you will your very own “zoom elf”.
The Zoom log in for both the Christmas Carol Sing (4 PM, Dec 20) and the Christmas Eve Service beginning at 7 PM on Dec 24 is:
