Church Council

Church Council

The Church Council will meet next on Tuesday, May 19, at 7:00 p.m., both in the Fireplace Room and on Zoom, to discuss the Christmas Tree Project in addition to normal church business. They meet on most third Tuesdays throughout the year. Although you must be a member of the council to vote, all are invited to attend and comment.

The council oversees the organizational life of the church, including property maintenance and financial stewardship; coordinates the work of various ministry areas (Sunday School, Seniors, United Women in Faith, Outreach, etc.); and is accountable to all church members through the charge conference. It's responsible for ensuring Washington Farm fulfills its mission by nurturing members, conducting outreach through acts of compassion and justice, and witnessing in the community.

Would you like more information on the Church Council? Come to a meeting or reach out to John Binkley.

Worship This Week

Worship This Week

Sunday, May 17, 2026

We’re grateful to welcome Charlie Painter, Lay Leader at Wesley UMC, who will be preaching this week. This Ascension Sunday, we turn to Acts 1:1–11 and Ephesians 1:15–23 as we explore Still Looking Up: Hope for a Church in Transition. In a season when Jesus’ followers were unsure of what comes next, they were invited to lift their eyes with trust and expectation.

Thanks to those serving in worship this week!
