Using Josh Scott’s book CONTEXT: Putting Scripture in Its Place, we will delve into these well-known Scripture verses, exploring their true meanings by examining them in their original biblical context. Through this process, we’ll explore fresh and enlightening interpretations that are often missed when these Scriptures are taken out of context. Books are available now for $15.00. To purchase, write a check to WFUMC or click below and select "Unpledged Giving" to give online. Email Pastor Claire at pastor@washingtonfarmumc.org to sign up. Baubles, Bangles, and Beads BoutiqueStart Collecting The Ladies are hosting another Baubles, Bangles, and Beads Boutique this spring - outdoors, under sunny skies (we hope!). As you tackle fall cleaning or begin a downsizing project, consider setting aside a box at home for gently used jewelry, handbags, scarves, hats, hair accessories, jewelry boxes, and stylish clothing. Men are welcome to donate too, think watches, wallets, or other baubles. Decluttering now means less stress later; and your donations will support a joyful event and a worthy cause. Keep that box handy and plan to bring it in this spring. Questions? Contact Beth Jones. |
