Dear Washington Farm Family,
This past Sunday was a bittersweet morning in worship as I shared that I am projected to leave Washington Farm after our June 14th service and summer picnic and go on loan to the Peninsula‑Delaware Annual Conference beginning July 5. It is hard to put into words how deeply grateful I am for the love and support of these past four years, and for the gift of being part of a church family that has truly felt like home. At the same time, I am excited to step into a new chapter at Millville UMC in Millville, Delaware, with hope and trust, while I continue to serve as Conference Secretary for the Virginia Conference. Gail and the SPPRC committee will be sharing an introductory video of your incoming pastor during worship this Sunday as we begin welcoming them into the Washington Farm family. I am praying for all pastors and congregations who are in transition during this appointment season. These changes are never simple, but God’s grace meets us in every step. I will miss you more than I can say. God's Grace abounds, |

Let's care for our church grounds together. Most of the work will be leaf raking and bagging, and the church will provide gloves, bags, and some rakes. If you’re able, please bring a labeled rake from home. We’ll break for lunch from 11:45 to 12:30, with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, garden salad, chips, and plenty of cold water. No power tools will be used. Rain date: May 9. Questions? Contact Steve Brown. For more infomation visit:

On Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., our United Women in Faith will host our second Baubles, Bangles and Beads Boutique right on the church parking lot, weather permitting. Over the next three Sundays, bring in your gently used jewelry, purses, scarves, hats, hair accessories, jewelry boxes, and fashionable clothing. Men, we’d love your contributions too—watches, wallets, and other accessories are all welcome. Sign up to volunteer for sorting and pricing and for working the event at the link below or on the clipboard in the Narthex. Proceeds support Washington Farm's college scholarship recipients. Worship This WeekSunday, April 19, 2026 In John 17:20‑26, Jesus prays for all who will follow Him, asking that we be one in God's love. This week we reflect on that prayer and what it means for our life together. Thanks to those serving in worship this week!
